Weather, work
and small discoveries.

The first thin ice

Overnight the lagoon held a skin for forty minutes. Our thermal camera caught the edge travelling west in a clean silver line.

Listening below the fog

Visibility fell to thirty metres, but the hydrophone carried everything: rain on the surface, distant propellers, a pod moving beyond the headland.

Wall 04 comes apart

The reversible panel completed its third winter. Two people separated every layer in under an hour; nothing went to waste.

Sun above the ridge

No sunset now. The midnight instrument round becomes an exercise in shadows—long, blue, almost horizontal.
